WordPress, Craft, and Astro, on purpose

I don’t pick a stack and force the project into it. WordPress, Craft CMS, and Astro each earn a place, and this site is where I’ll write about how I choose.

Most of my work has lived in WordPress. Full Site Editing, block themes, and the unglamorous parts that make an editor’s day easier. Craft CMS shows up when the content needs a clearer model than a pile of pages. Astro is what I reach for when the site should be fast, mostly static, and assembled from small pieces.

This site is the place I’ll write about that mix. Not tool roundups. The decisions that show up once a project is real: how a homepage should be edited, when a case study should stay structured, and how a marketing page gets a new section without a developer on the thread.

What you’ll find here

Notes on blocks and patterns. Notes on Craft content models. Notes on building marketing sites with Astro and a page builder that still feels calm to use. If you’re an agency that needs another pair of hands, or a team figuring out which of the three fits, start with the work and then write me.
